With the season just over a week away, Bath Gladiators Rugby league will take to field at their new home of Farmborough Recreation ground this Saturday as they make their final preparations for the upcoming season.
Whilst the game will be played behind closed doors due to Covid restrictions forcing the teams to play without spectators, head coach Matt Bodey is still looking forward to the game “I’ve really enjoyed seeing the boys come together and start to gel over the last few weeks of training, and with our first fixture of the season coming this Saturday, it’s a really good opportunity to see where we’re at against Devon Sharks ahead of the competitive start to the season on the 15th. Obviously, we wish we could play with fans, but the current restrictions means we’ll have to wait a little longer and we look forward to being cheered on in few weeks time.”
Please be aware: Whilst Bath Gladiators Rugby League would love for spectators to attend, the guidelines from Sport England do not permit this until the next easing of restrictions on the 17th May. Therefore we ask that any would be spectators assist us in not turning up at the venue to watch the game.
Thank you
